The last week has seen the Zionist government of Israel use state terrorism to cause indiscriminate destruction and killing of innocent civilians. The world has witnessed that the US and UK governments, and other G8 leaders. have given the government of Israel a green light to systematically destroy Lebanon and its people. The world has also witnessed the futility of the UN as an institution. The Muslim world has again witnessed the complicity of the leaders of the Muslim countries. Their lack of assistance to the people of Lebanon and their ongoing treaties and policies aid the government of Israel and her allies while the people of Lebanon are murdered by the Israeli war machine.

This problem is not a Lebanese problem it is a problem for all Muslims worldwide. The international community has repeatedly proven that it will never protect Muslims. We must act.

We must put pressure on governments in the region to do the following:

  1. The armies of the Muslim countries must be sent to defend the people of Lebanon.

  2. Aid must be provided to those that have been displaced or injured and the families of those that have been murdered.

  3. Israel and her allies must be made to feel the diplomatic consequences of their aggression against the people of Lebanon. All diplomatic relations with Israel and her allies must be severed immediately.

  4. Israel and her allies must be made to feel the economic consequences of their aggression against the people of Lebanon. Economic sanctions including an oil embargo must be implemented immediately.

Oh I knew about the demonstration, I've just came back from it and wrote about it in my blog (with a few photographs as well). I was just saying that the petition I didn't know about. I'm not a big fan of petitions.

Anyway, alhamdullilah. Indeed it was a great demonstration though I have to disagree with you about the "excellent chants". They didn't even rhyme and the grammer was horrible. But enough criticising, alhamdullilah anyway.

wassalam
